I was so excited when I saw the news on Temptalia’s site yesterday, about a new MAC collection which has been created by BLOGGERS! I immediately went to each of the bloggers sites to read the news in their own words and the inspiration behind the products they have created and I recommend reading them – it is really fascinating to find out what goes in to creating the perfect product and the process of it going from an idea into production.
The nine lucky bloggers who have had their creations made into real-life MAC products are:
The Make Up Girl, who created Hocus Pocus, a dark sooty grey with silver pearl (Satin) eyeshadow
Temptalia, who created Jealousy Wakes, seething emerald green with teal and gold pearl (Veluxe Pearl) eyeshadow
Lipstick Powder n Paint, who created Parisian Skies, a muted grey-blue (Satin) eyeshadow
Beauty Blogging Junkie, who created Sparkle, Neely, Sparkle!, a deep rusty brown with champagne-colored sparkle (Velvet) eyeshadow
Afrobella, who created All Of My Purple Life, a deep purple/grape with subtle sparkle lipglass
Beauty Maverick, who created Caqui, a persimmon orange lipglass
Makeup and Beauty Blog, who created Evolution Revolution, a warm peachy pink with subtle purple, green, blue micro glitter lipglass
Nitrolicious, who created Nitro:licious 2046, an intense shiny red lipglass
The Shades Of U, who created Sonoran Rain, a deep coral-red with gold and silver pearl lipglass.
If you click on the links above you can read the stories from each of the girls and see swatches of their products.
The collection goes on sale on 21st June but is only available in America and Canada which is a bit of a bummer! Do they not think people on other sides of the ocean don’t read these girls blogs and are excited for them?! I guess there’s always good old eBay.
How amazing must that feeling be? It’s made me wonder what I would create if I were given the opportunity… I immediately think oooh a nude or baby pink lippy, but seriously, how many can a girl have!? I think a lot of time and thought would have to go into it. What would you make?
Now that they have done this in the USA, do you think they might do it elsewhere, like the UK? I would SO go and buy the whole damn collection if they did!
