Nails of the Day - Nails Inc Whitehall

Nails inc have recently added three magnetic polishes to their range - Whitehall, which is the gorgeous teal colour I am showing below, Trafalgar Square - silver and Houses of Parliament which is metallic purple.

This was the first time I had applied magnetic polish by myself - you have to paint your nails with one coat of the polish - which is very opaque, my nails were completely covered with that one coat. You then go back and apply a generous amount of polish to a nail, then hold the magnet (which in this case is on top of the lid) over your nail for 10-15 seconds to let the magnet do it's magic. It's really rather easy - a lot easier than the finished effect looks!

I wore this polish to a catwalk show I was doing the make up for, and literally every person that came into contact with me asked me what I was wearing on my nails, wanted to see it closer, promised they were going to go and get some as they were so in love with it! I have to agree that it is pretty amazing. Not only is it metallic, but it has an almost holographic, iridescent quality to it - there is so much depth to be seen. My nails were left extremely glossy and were evidently very noticeable!

You can purchase these polishes at for £13 each - nails inc are donating £1 from each sale of magnetic polish to youth charity The Princes Trust.

Have you tried magnetic polish yet? What do you make of it!?

  1. Woah, that's lovely. The Nails Inc magnetic colours lok so much nicer than the 17/Fashionista ones (which are exactly the same as each other, yawn), much more depth and more dramatic colour shift. May have to invest in this one! Though I am impatiently waiting for a star magnet to be launched! (Fashionista are going to do one, but who knows when that will be...) x

  2. Kensington is the top coat Alice, not a magnetic polish :)

they did a gold one for a while but discontinued it :(

  3. How bizarre My press release clearly has a raspberry bottle labeled Kensington! I've edited it now though - thank you! x

TPR - yes, definitely a lot of drama going on here! x

  4. I haven't tried any metallic polishes yet as I've not seen any in Malta but I just love the effect and will definitely be stocking up next time I'm online shopping or in the UK! xxx

    was this it? :) x

  6. that looks amazing much better than drug store versions of it! Wonder if it comes in a pale gold colour or a mushroom!

  7. Pretty in Pink - no that wasn't it! It was a full on metallic shade - it was actually called Kensington Palace!

Chloe, I dont think there are those shades (yet) in the nails inc collection x
